Great performance with windows 7, a lot capacity with 1.5tb but new games 8gb, a good movie 4gb, so bigger the better, very quiet drive in and antec p182. I will get another one for backup.

After being somewhat disappointed w/ some recent Seagate 1.5TB drives, I went with Western Digital. So far, the drive seems to run cooler and quieter than my other drives. I'm using it in an external eSATA/FW/USB dock and it's doing it's job.

I believe that if you're running Windows, you may have to take some extra steps to configure the drive; however, I am using this with a Mac and it didn't require any pre-configuring...just a simple format and you're ready.

I'm hoping the drive will last and be reliable.

Sent an e-mail to AMAZON about the problem
BANG...Just like that (no hassel) They sent out a another drive!!!
Second drive has run GREAT for about two months now without any problems!
Rate the drive at 4 1/2 stars!!

I've had the drive for about a month, so I can't really evaluate its longevity, but it was easy to install (I installed it in a home server to add space) and hasn't had any problems so far. All of our drives are WD, and I've never had one crash yet.
